I am sorry to learn of Sandy's passing and the notice brought back a flood of memories. Among them is the Prom we enjoyed in the spring of 63. I was especially elated when Sandy agreed to be my date. She said she wanted a corsage that was different from all the other girls and after some shopping for possibilities, she decided on a calla lily. The florist said they had never had a request for a corsage including a calla lily, but they would give it a shot. When I picked up the corsage I was so hopeful that it would be what she had envisioned. It was! The corsage was truly beautiful -- as was Sandy. It was a special night in a special year.
