Treba Elaine Severs Benson, 72, of Neosho passed from this world to join her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Promise Hospital in Overland Park KS following a long illness. 

She was born on September 12, 1945 in Quapaw Oklahoma to Clarence and Ruth Severs. She grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School in 1963.  She attended classes at Joplin Business College as well as Missouri Southern State College.

Treba married Guy (Gary) Benson on February 28, 1964 in Joplin.  She was an office manager and tax preparer for H&R Block in Joplin for many years.  She later became a real estate broker and was associated with Pro 100 Realtors Inc. for 12 of her 15 year real estate career.  She was very passionate about spending as much time as possible with her family and planning Sunday dinners.  She also loved caring for and spoiling her dogs.  When she was physically able to, she enjoyed attending as many of her grandchildren's baseball & football games and cheer competitions as possible. 

Treba leaves behind her beloved husband Guy; her daughter, Dawn Welch and husband, Doug of Neosho; two sons, Eric Benson of Ozark MO and Gary Benson of Neosho MO; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

Visitation will be held at Parker Mortuary in Joplin from 5-6pm on Sunday March 18th.  Funeral services will be at 1pm on Monday March 19th at Parker Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, in care of Parker Mortuary.
